Information obtained from this investigation led to the identification of the suspects involved in a June robbery also in Pinefield.
On June 26, officers responded to the 900 block of Truro Lane and discovered three men approached a 50-year-old woman who was delivering pizzas and brandished a handgun. They assaulted her, stole her cash and fled the scene. Information from the previous investigation led to the identification of the three suspects, Eric Francis Taylor, 22, of Washington, D.C., Nicholas Marttel McGinnie, 20, of Waldorf and Washington, who was also charged in the previous case.
Taylor was arrested on Nov. 19 and charged with armed robbery, reckless endangerment, first- and second-degree assault, use of a handgun in commission of a felony and theft valued at less than $500. Washington, who was previously arrested on Nov 15 and released Nov 16 on a 50,000 bond, was arrested again Nov. 20 and charged with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft valued at less than $500. Taylor and Washington are being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for McGinnie.
