WALDORF, Md. — A Suitland man was ordered held without bond after investigators reported a woman was handcuffed, assaulted and taken from Waldorf to Prince George’s County during an incident that began near a hotel.
Bryan Neal Gordon, 27, of Suitland, was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, second-degree assault, theft less than $100 and procuring or soliciting prostitution.
The charges stem from an incident reported June 29, 2026, at Master Suites in the 2200 block of Old Washington Road in Waldorf.
Charging documents state officers responded to the hotel at approximately 3:28 a.m. for a reported kidnapping and rape. An adult woman was located and later transported to Charles Regional Medical Center for treatment and a sexual assault nurse examination.
Investigators reported the woman initially told officers she was forced into a vehicle while walking from the hotel toward a nearby 7-Eleven. In a later interview, charging documents state the woman reported she had been contacted by Gordon through a website and agreed to meet him in the hotel parking lot.
The woman reported she agreed to provide sexual favors in exchange for $350 and willingly entered Gordon’s vehicle. A short distance away, while still in Charles County, Gordon allegedly told her he was a police officer, said she was under arrest and claimed he was taking her to a police station.
Charging documents state Gordon produced handcuffs and tried to handcuff the woman near Sub Station Road in Waldorf. The woman struck him with the handcuffs while trying to get away, causing an injury to his lip, but Gordon overpowered her and handcuffed her, investigators wrote.
The woman reported Gordon told her he had a knife, though she did not see one. Charging documents state Gordon then drove her to a location in Prince George’s County, where she reported being sexually assaulted.
After the incident, Gordon allegedly drove the woman back to the area of Master Suites. Charging documents state the woman was able to break free from the handcuffs, ran back to the hotel and got help from a citizen.
Investigators later reviewed video from New Hope AME Church in Waldorf, which showed the woman running from the area where the vehicle had parked after returning to the county. She was also seen hiding underneath and behind vehicles, charging documents state.
The woman later reported several items were missing from her hotel room, including a black wallet with skulls and roses, approximately $50 to $60 in cash, two debit cards, a temporary Virginia identification card, a registration and title for an old vehicle, and a Social Security card.
Detectives reviewed video and license plate reader records connected to a black Chevrolet Malibu. Charging documents state the vehicle was seen entering Charles County on June 28 and again on June 29, with both license plate reader hits in the area of southbound Crain Highway.
Investigators learned the vehicle was later stopped by Maryland Transportation Authority Police in Anne Arundel County. Gordon was identified as the driver and was arrested in that county in connection with a separate kidnapping report involving another woman who was present during the traffic stop, charging documents state.
A search of the Chevrolet Malibu later recovered a black Croc belonging to the victim, a key card to Master Suites and other evidence, investigators wrote. Detectives also reported finding a hair braid extension in the back seat of the vehicle.
During an interview at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center, Gordon initially denied having sex with the woman but later acknowledged it, charging documents state. Investigators wrote that Gordon denied identifying himself as a police officer and denied having handcuffs, then later stated he had handcuffs and placed them on the woman’s wrists during sex. He denied stealing anything from the woman’s hotel room.
Court records show an arrest warrant was issued July 1, 2026, and served July 2. Gordon was ordered held without bond following an initial bail setting and remained held without bond after a July 6 bond review before Judge Danielle Marie Mosley.
The kidnapping charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison. The second-degree assault charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $2,500 fine.
A preliminary hearing is set for July 29, 2026, in Charles County District Court.
