Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to determine who shot and killed man inside of his car on the Beltway late Saturday night. The victim is 55-year-old Adriano Lombre of Harry S. Truman Drive in Upper Marlboro.

A Prince George’s County Police Officer spotted the victim’s car at about 11:55 pm stopped in a lane of traffic on the outer loop at Pennsylvania Avenue. She stopped to check the circumstances of the stopped car and noticed the victim inside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

“We believe he was an innocent victim and that somebody out there would have seen something or know something,” Capt. Anthony Schartner said. “We’re encouraging them to please give us a call.”

Lombre had friends at his house Saturday night, a neighbor said. He left and then was headed back home when he was shot, police said.
Police say they received no 911 calls regarding the shooting.
He had adult children, according to police. He was a good person, neighbor James Johnson said.
Anyone who may have seen Lombre’s car between 11:30 p.m. and midnight is asked to call police. The car has a large white decal that says “Skin Fan for Life” and has the Washington Redskins’ logo.

Homicide Unit detectives are asking any motorists who were traveling on the Beltway Saturday night between 11:30 pm to 11:55 pm to please call with any information regarding this case. No detail is too small. The Prince George’s County Police Department received no 911 calls regarding the shooting.
