As part of an ongoing investigation into several residential burglaries which occurred since July 2 in the Cedar Cove area of Lexington Park, detectives from the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations conducted surveillance in the area.
Detectives observed a 17-year-old male from Lexington Park and Trayvell V. Jones, 19 of Lexington Park, acting suspicious.
BCI detectives detained the two men and after further investigation conducted two search warrants which led to the recovery of numerous stolen items from area burglaries as well as cocaine.
Both were charged with one count of 4th Degree Burglary, and five counts of 1st Degree Burglary.
In addition Jones was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with the Intent to Distribute.
Jones is incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and the juvenile is in the Cheltenham Youth Facility.
