ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. — The Princess Concert, an all-ages event featuring beloved songs from Disney princesses, heroes, and villains, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. at the Nancy R. & Norton T. Dodge Performing Arts Center at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
Sponsored by the St. Mary’s County Arts Council, the concert promises a night of music, nostalgia, and fun for families and Disney fans of all ages.
Returning for its second year, the Princess Concert offers an interactive experience where attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters and sing along to iconic Disney songs.
“Last year’s concert was a great success! Concertgoers were dancing and singing along—it was pure joy!” said Sarah Gravelle, performer and event coordinator. “We will bring back many of last year’s favorite songs, but we’ve added new selections as well!”
The setlist will feature songs from Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Jasmine, Elsa, Anna, and even a few famous witches.
“This concert is very family-friendly, and children of all ages are encouraged to attend! It’s a multigenerational experience for the whole family,” Gravelle added.

Gravelle and Becky Norris Kuhn will headline the event, portraying the “princesses” of the evening. Both are seasoned performers in the Southern Maryland arts scene.
Gravelle has performed in “The Sound of Music” and “Big Fish” at Newtowne Players and frequently sings at Port of Leonardtown Winery and Annmarie Gardens. She also serves as the chorus teacher and theater director at Esperanza Middle School and operates Gravelle Music Studio.
Kuhn, a Leonardtown native, has been featured in “Into the Woods,” “The Wedding Singer,” and “The Who’s Tommy.” She is currently preparing for her role in “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at Port Tobacco Players.
“Becky and I have shared the stage many times, and we love performing together,” Gravelle said. “Our friendship and rapport make this concert even more special.”
Accompanying them on piano is Sherri Fenwick, a retired choral educator and director of the Southern Maryland Gospel Choir. Also joining the cast are Montel Butler and Ben Simpson, two accomplished vocalists.
Montel Butler, a Southern Maryland native, has performed with Sam Smith on SNL, Disney Cruise Lines, and most recently starred in “Beautiful” at Olney Theater.
Ben Simpson, a theater teacher at St. Charles High School, has performed in “Beauty and the Beast” and is currently starring alongside “Kuhn in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at Port Tobacco Players.
“These two ‘Princesses’ wouldn’t have a concert without our fabulous ‘Fairy Godmother’ on the keys, Ms. Sherri Fenwick, and our handsome ‘Princes’ Montel Butler and Ben Simpson,” Gravelle said.

Beyond the music, the Princess Concert carries an uplifting theme of self-discovery and chasing dreams.
“We are looking forward to sharing in the joy audience members are sure to find at Princess Concert,” Gravelle said. “Music like this is so nostalgic and heartwarming—we love to sing it, and we love to listen to it!”
The concert will take place in the state-of-the-art Dodge Performing Arts Center, known for its top-of-the-line sound and lighting.
“Performing there is truly a dream come true,” Gravelle added.
