On December 10, 2010 at 3:40 a.m., Tpr. E. R. Mersman conducted a traffic stop in the Wawa parking lot on Three Notch Road in Lexington Park on a black Chrysler.
Upon making contact with the driver, Marcus Donnell Rogers, 27, of Great Mills, Tpr. Mersman detected the odor of alcoholic beverages was emitting from Rogers’ breath. In the midst of the traffic stop and performance of standardized field sobriety test, Rogers became disorderly. With the assistance of Cpl. J. L. Linger, Tpr. Mersman arrested Rogers for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Disorderly Conduct.
Rogers was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged accordingly. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
