Deputy Michael George was a back up Officer for a Maryland State Trooper on a vehicle stop, which led to the arrest of the driver.
The passengers of that vehicle were intoxicated and a ride was called for them.
Officers left the area and within a few moments, the passengers were observed operating the same vehicle traveling southbound on Point Lookout Road in Park Hall. The vehicles lights were turned off to avoid detection.
The operator of the vehicle, Ryan Keith Caldwell (Age 25 of Park Hall) exited the vehicle and was aggressively approaching the Officer. The passenger exited the vehicle and also went towards Deputy George. Caldwell was placed under arrest and Anthony Scott Anderson (Age 24 of Lexington Park) was held at bay until additional Deputies arrived. He was placed under arrest for Hindering and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.
