Waldorf, MD – A La Plata man in his early 50s sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Route 228 (Berry Road) Monday afternoon, June 19, police reported. According to a spokesman at the Maryland State Police (MSP) Barrack in La Plata, the Acura TL was traveling eastbound on Berry Road west of Mill Hill Road around 3 p.m. For unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway to the right, into a wooded area, where the car struck a tree. The injured man was transported by ambulance to Prince George’s Hospital Center. The MSP spokesman stated that crash reconstruction was conducted as a precautionary measure. A portion of Berry Road was closed for approximately three hours.
The crash remains under investigation and is being handled by Tfc. Hooten of the La Plata Barrack.ย
Waldorf, MD – Police and emergency crews responded early Monday evening to a motor vehicle crash on Berry Road (Route 228). A partial closure of the road was reported around 6:30 p.m. ย The crash occurred sometime after 3 p.m. The roadway has since reopened. No other details of the crash are available at this time.
