LOTHIAN, Md. — Shortly before 3 p.m. on January 16, first responders were called to a fire inside a mobile home.
Crews from northern Calvert County and Anne Arundel County were dispatched to 174 Jaguar Drive for reports of a double-wide with smoke showing from inside.
Firefighters arrived and found the mobile home with a fire located in one of the bedrooms. During the course of the search, crews located and removed two dogs, two guinea pigs, and one lizard.
It took first responders roughly an hour to contain the fire, where they would then return to service.
On social media, the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department who assisted with the fire, thanked the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department for allowing them to use one of their engines while they were assisting.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There are believed to have been no injuries at the time of the fire.
