Eileen Michele Tayman, age 70, of Chaptico, Maryland, passed away on February 9, 2025 after a long battle with multiple cancers.
Eileen was born on March 12, 1954 in Washington D.C. She graduated from Crossland High School in P.G. County, Maryland.
In 1971, she married (Thomas) Wayne Tayman and they had a daughter -Frannie. After their divorce and remarriage to each other they had Tommy – 13 years later.
She worked many years in the brokerage business for Dean Witter Reynolds and E.F. Hutton, as well as for their family company Tayman Roofing and Siding, Inc. She volunteered at Mother Catherine school and worked at St. Mary’s Ryken High School. Mostly her role was as wife and mother and eventually her greatest most joyous role: Grandmother. She loved to travel to their home in Punta Gorda, Florida. Some of her favorite trips included Hawaii, Costa Rica and going all around to see George Strait in concert.
Eileen was predeceased in death by her mother, Fran Faircloth, her Poppa, Bill Faircloth, and father, Joseph Yanovich. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Tayman, daughter and son-in-law, Frannie and Chris Codoley, son, Tommy Tayman and her grandchildren: Shelby and Brody Codoley and Skylar Tayman, her sisters, Linda (John) Foote and Nancy (Reed) Debois and her brother, Richard Faircloth.
A visitation will be held on February 19, 2025 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service 1:00 p.m., at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Helen, MD 20635.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309, an organization to help women with breast cancer and/ or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
