On Thursday, July 25, Deb Rey (R, Lexington Park) kicked off her campaign as the challenger for John Bohanan’s District 29B seat in the Maryland House of Delegates.
Ms. Rey is currently president of two St. Mary’s County Clubs: the Republican Women of St. Mary’s Club, and the St. Mary’s Republican Club.
Present at her campaign kickoff held at the Peking Restaurant in Lexington Park, were Del. Anthony J. O’Donnell (R, St. Mary’s and Calvert), Collins Bailey (Charles County RCC and MD GOP First Vice-Chair), St. Mary’s County Commissioners Todd Morgan and Cindy Jones, and SMC RCC members Julie Burk-Greer, Gary Rumsey and yours truly.
Ms. Rey believes that Bohanan is out of touch with his constituents, and plans to launch a major door-to-door campaign. Her husband, Jeff Lathrop, is her campaign Treasurer.
