At 6:46 p.m. Nov. 18, TFC A. Rossignol of the Leonardtown barracks responded to Winters Lane, Leonardtown for a reported disturbance. On arrival contact was made with the complainant, Craig Wesley Norton, 34. who advised his estranged wife, Grace Christina Norton, 30, of Great Mills, showed up at his residence and they became involved in a verbal altercation just outside of the front door.

Craig Norton attempted to enter his residence and shut the door, but Grace Norton put her foot down and stopped the door from closing and pushed her way into the house, Police say. Grace Norton was told several times to leave the residence but she refused and Craig Norton then put his hands on her chest and attempted to push her out the door. Police say Mrs. Norton then became violent, and he had to hold her down.

Craig Norton sustained to small cuts on his arm and refused medical treatment.

Mrs. Norton got up and walked down the hall, knocking a picture off the wall andย  then sat down on the couch and again refused to leave.

Grace Norton told police they were arguing outside, and when Mr. Norton went into the residence she followed, and While at the front door he ย pushed her on the chest, and she nearly fell to the ground.

Two days later, Craig Norton responded to the Leonardtown bsarraks and was served with a summons to appear in court to answer charges of second degree assault. Grace Norton was served with a summons to appear in court to answer the charge of second degree assault trespassing on private property.
