Ethics Panel appointment made by the Board of Education

LEONARDTOWN, MD – Superintendent of Schools, Mr. J. Scott Smith, announces the Ethics Panel appointment made by the Board of Education at its meeting of July 14, 2016, as follows:

Mr. John A. Walters of Leonardtown, Maryland – Mr. Walters is currently a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments, St. Louis, Missouri, working in the Leonardtown, Maryland office.

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, from Virginia Military Institute and an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management, from Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Virginia. He is a member of the Program Advisory Committee of the Academy of

Finance at Chopticon High School and has served as a Career Day presenter at multiple elementary schools. Mr. Walters replaces Mr. Patrick Murphy and will serve the remainder of his three (3) year term effective immediately.
