Leonardtown, MD — Sunday, the St. Mary’s County Fair’s conclusion, is billed as Family Day. It’s a time for those who haven’t been to get a last chance to enjoy and for those who have to take in what they’ve missed previously. This year’s fair, blessed with perfect weather, had large crowds and a full parking lot all four days.
Some of the highlights Sunday were the annual baby contest, a number of gospel groups and other musical performers, horse and goat shows, and the antique tractor show. Of course the carnival grounds were open as were the exhibit buildings for viewing the Blue Ribbon winners.
The attached Photo Gallery by the Bay Net’s photojournalist Ron Bailey has pictures from Friday and Sunday at the fair, including the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 demonstration on Friday and the baby contest on Sunday.
