Clements, MD— Pumpkin picking, tractor rides and getting lost in a corn maze are all things families love to do in the fall. In St. Mary’s County, families have been coming to Bowles Farm for over fifteen years to celebrate this fun time of the year.

“This place is amazing, we love it here,” said Heather Ore, who was visiting with the local Moms Club of St. Mary’s County.

Bowles Farm is vast in nature, some of the big draws for fall fans are the ever -changing designs of the corn maze. This year, Tommy Bowles, owner of Bowles Farm, designed the corn maze to represent the 175th anniversary of St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

In addition to the maze, new features have been added to the farm. A history lesson can be seen on video in one of the barns. Also, new kid features have been built out of re-purposed barn wood.

“My favorite animals are the piggies,” said Haley Ore, who was with her Mother [Heather Ore]. The Ore family was petting the animals at the petting zoo.

Tommy and Tina Bowles are the owners of Bowles Farm. Tina Bowles was expecting over 400 kids visiting the farm.

“The whole goal here is to get the kids outside at the farm. Nothing on this farm is commerical, it’s hay piles and corn mazes. I just want to get the kids back into it, and watch them enjoy it,” said Bowles.
