Clinton – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Clinton. The victim is Frank Joseph Vaughn, 84 of Clinton.
On Nov. 4 at about 1:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Piscataway Road and Pine View Lane for a crash involving two vehicles. When they arrived, they found Vaughn suffering critical injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he died Wednesday, Nov. 19. A passenger in Vaughn’s car and the second driver were not seriously hurt.
The preliminary investigation reveals Vaughn was heading southbound on Piscataway Road when he tried to make a left turn onto Pine View Lane. While making that turn, his car was struck by a sport utility vehicle heading northbound on Piscataway Road.
