WALDORF, Md. – The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating an incendiary fire that destroyed several vehicles at a Waldorf car dealership in the early hours of Thursday, April 19.

At 3:00 a.m., a passerby reported a fire at the Waldorf Honda dealership off of Crain Highway in Charles County. Ten firefighters from the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department arrived to the scene and discovered five vehicles in flames. Crews worked quickly and had the scene under control in 20 minutes.

Two Honda Accords, two Honda Odysseys, and one Ford transit van were effected by the fire causing an estimated $100,000 worth of damage. The fire originated underneath one of the Honda Accords and is suspected to be incendiary.
