Leonardtown, MD – A fire that damaged a shed in St. Mary’s County Friday evening, March 17 remains under investigation, state officials reported. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, the blaze on Moll Dyer Road in Leonardtown was initially reported at 7:29 p.m.
“The fire occurred in a lean-to portion of a wood-framed shed on the property,” a deputy fire marshal’s reported stated. “The fire was quickly extinguished, which saved most of the shed’s contents.”
No injuries were reported. Damage to the structure and contents is estimated at $3,000. Anyone with information that could aid investigators is asked to contact the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Southern Regional Office at 443-550-6820.
