Freshman Delegate Mark N. Fisher [R-District 27B] has scheduled three “town hall meetings” during the next eight days to discuss several looming legislative issues.
“I take very seriously my position as your Maryland delegate because I believe we share a deep concern about the direction our state and country are heading,” Fisher stated in an e-mail to constituents.
The meeting dates and locations are:
Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the North Beach Town Hall
Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Northeast Community Center in Chesapeake Beach
Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Calvert Pines Senior Center in Prince Frederick
All of the meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last about two hours.
Fisher and his staff will be on hand to answer questions.
Among the key issues of the 2012 session of the Maryland General Assembly, Fisher cited proposed tax increases for gasoline, vehicle sales and wireless phones; Plan Maryland, legislative redistricting and the pending sunset of the pull-tab bingo machines in Chesapeake Beach.
