Five Young Girls Flip Golf Cart In Mechanicsville Leaving One Injured

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – On July 4, 2024, at approximately 5:55 p.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to a golf cart crash on Hidden Pond Court near Cedar Grove Street.

Upon arrival, crews found a golf cart flipped over with multiple occupants injured and conscious.

EMS evaluated three of the five juvenile girls on the scene. One patient was transported by Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulance 297 to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for care. Two signed care refusals on the scene.

Police continue to investigate the crash.

There has been an increase in golf cart accidents in the area. Just three days ago, a crash in Newburg left three injured.

  1. Why don’t both the State Police and the County Police put out flyers to ALL residents that golf carts are not allowed on County Roads. There are several families that drive them on White Point and White Point Beach Road in addition to dirt bikes and 4 Wheelers…
