HUNTINGTOWN, Md. – End Hunger In Calvert County (EHCC), the leading non-profit in ending hunger throughout Southern Maryland, has been selected as a Giant Food’s Bloomin’ 4 Good Program recipient for the month of July.
The Giant Food’s Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, launched in July 2021, makes it easy for shoppers to positively impact their community. Every purchase of a Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet, marked with a purple circle sticker, guarantees a donation to a hunger organization local to the Giant Food in which the bouquet is purchased.
On the heels of distributing more than 2 million pounds of food and products and feeding 1300 students during the COVID-19 pandemic, End Hunger In Calvert County is named the July beneficiary by local store leadership at the Giant Food in Prince Frederick, MD. For every Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet purchased from this Giant Food location in July, a donation is made to EHCC to continue making its significant impact throughout the community.
“The beauty of this partnership is that it allows everyone to participate!” said Jacqueline M. Miller, President of End Hunger In Calvert County. “Whether purchasing flowers for a loved one, friend, or teacher, you are actively providing meals to families in need throughout Calvert County. We are honored to not only be recognized as a recipient this month but, consequently, empowered to continue moving families into self-sufficiency.”
Purchase a Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet at Prince Frederick Giant Food in July to help end hunger for good. For more information about the Giant Food Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, please visit giantfood.bags4mycause.com/.
