The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, in partnership with the Charles County Department of Community Services Housing Authority, encourage the public to attend the Foreclosure Prevention Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the College of Southern Maryland (8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata).
Attendees will learn how foreclosure can be prevented, as well as how Maryland’s foreclosure prevention laws affect them. Participants will be able to talk to housing counselors, attorneys, and loan servicers.
Those who plan to attend should bring all papers related to current and former mortgages including:

โขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Settlement paperwork and lender statement
โขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย All foreclosure notices or threats of foreclosure, if any received
โขย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Monthly household budget and pay stubs.
