La Plata, MD – The Charles County Commissioners are excited to announce the appointment of Michael Mallinoff as Charles County Administrator.

Mallinoff left Annapolis City Hall in January 2014 after Mayor Mike Pantelides asked Mallinoff to step down as city manager.

Mallinoff worked as city manager for the city of Annapolis since 2010, and had previously served as city manager for Newport, RI, and the director of the Department of Neighborhood and Environmental Programs in Annapolis.

The new county administrator will replace Mark Bolton, who was dismissed by the new board when they took office in January.

Bolton was later named secretary for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources by Governor Larry Hogan.

Mallinoff will take office May 4.
