Charles County Sheriffโ€™s officers say a tip from a CCSO facebook friend led officers to the whereabouts of Richard Lamont Rohland, 73, who was reported missing from his Waldorf home on Jan. 3. Early this afternoon, a citizen who was shopping at Safeway in the Smallwood Village Shopping Center in Waldorf spotted Mr. Rohland inside the store and immediately recognized him from a photograph that had been posted on the CCSO facebook page. She notified an employee who then called police. Officers responded and took Mr. Rohland into their care. Detectives are in the process of determining where Mr. Rohland has been for the past week. Sheriff Rex Coffey commended the witness for alerting police as quickly as she did and attributes his safe recovery to her. The investigation is continuing.
