St. Mary’s County, MD – An unknown suspect used a victim’s personal information to contact the Social Security Administration and set-up a Tax ID number and business account.
The suspect then fraudulently reported employee wages to the SSA. The suspect filed tax returns to obtain refunds.
The case remains under investigation.
