On July 28 at 11:55 p.m., Charles County Sheriffโs officers were investigating a report of a disorderly person at the Indian Head VFW when a patron notified them Jermaine Jay Mason, who was wanted, was inside the VFW.
When Sgt. G. Draheim approached Mason outside the side exit door, Mason ran. Sgt. Draheim caught Mason and a brief struggle ensued.
Officers arrested Mason. Mason, 19, of Indian Head, was wanted for failing to appear on previous charges of failing to obey a lawful order, disturbing the peace, second-degree assault and trespassing.
He was charged accordingly and was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
