Ryan James Watson, 30

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – On August 20, 2020, the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit received a tip that Ryan James Watson, 30, was currently residing in St Johns County, Florida under and alias name.

Contact was made with local Law Enforcement in the area. St Johns County Sheriffs Office, along with the US Marshall’s were able to successfully locate and apprehend Ryan Watson.

Ryan James Watson has had outstanding warrants in Calvert since 2012, as well Warrants in surrounding jurisdictions. Watson was previously aired on the show Live PD as being Wanted through Calvert County, MD. 

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit, along with Agents from the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force have arrested an Attempted Murder suspect who was a fugitive from Maryland, and had been previously featured on the show “Live PD”. 

In a collaborative effort, both the US Marshals and SJSO Detectives had acquired information on a suspect wanted on nine (9) charges may be living in St. Johns County under an assumed name (Alias), and had potentially resided here for several years after fleeing Anne Arundel County in Maryland. The suspect, who was identified as, Ryan James Watson, 30, was wanted on charges of 1st Degree Attempted Murder, 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Robbery, Various Assault charges, Theft and Reckless Endangerment with Weapon charges.      

Investigators established a covert perimeter around the area and launched a drone over the home to surveil any activity.  The suspect, who had been living in SJC under the alias of Sean Riley, exited the home after hearing the hovering drone and after observing that he matched the suspect’s description, was secured by members of the team.  When asked his name, he provided his alias, but after being called “Ryan”, stated “Ok, you got me”.  Watson was arrested and booked into the SJC Jail on Maryland’s authorization to hold for extradition.
