BALTIMORE – Maryland Lottery and Gaming today announced that July 2018 gaming revenues for the state’s six casinos totaled $146,498,031, an increase of 5.6% compared to the July 2017 total of $138,756,987.
Contributions to the State of Maryland from July 2018 casino gaming revenue totaled $60,564,399, including $45,415,176 for the Education Trust Fund. Casino gaming revenues also support local communities and jurisdictions where the six casinos are located, as well as Maryland’s horse racing industry.
Maryland has six privately owned casinos that offer both slot machines and table games: MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County; Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County; Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City; Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County; Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County; and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.
Four of the six casinos saw year-over-year increases compared to their July 2017 gaming revenue totals:
MGM National Harbor (2,954 slot machines, 187 table games)
$58,345,063 in July 2018, an increase of $7,572,821 (14.9%) from July 2017.
Live! Casino & Hotel (3,997 slot machines, 198 table games)
$47,725,739 in July 2018, an increase of $879,276 (1.0%) from July 2017.
Horseshoe Casino Baltimore (2,202 slot machines, 167 table games)
$20,446,574 in July 2018, a decrease of $2,545,430 (11.1%) from July 2017.
Hollywood Casino Perryville (822 slot machines, 22 table games)
$6,163,170 in July 2018, a decrease of $440,062 (6.7%) from July 2017.
Ocean Downs Casino (892 slot machines, 18 table games)
$8,656,484 in July 2018, an increase of $2,196,927 (34.0%) from July 2017.
Rocky Gap Casino Resort (664 slot machines, 17 table games)
$5,161,000 in July 2018, an increase of $77,514 (1.5%) from July 2017.
