Golf Carts and Pavillion Lost in Country Club Blaze

At 4:36 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, volunteer fire departments responded to Calvert County for a building fire at the Country Club in Solomon’s Island. Units from Solomon’s arrived on scene to report a working structure fire, fully involved.

After the fire was placed under control, responders used a tower to wet down any remaining hot spots. Units operated on scene for approximately 2 hours. The structure was a large pavilion used to house approximately 75 golf carts and a beverage cart. The building, golf carts, and all contents where a total loss.

Office of the State Fire Marshall is currently investigating the incident.
