Update (6:35 p.m.): The BayNet received unconfirmed reports at the scene from responding law enforcement officials who said hypodermic needles were found in the median and on the shoulder of 235 and the officials indicated the needles may have traces of fetanyl.
Hollywood, MD (5:36 p.m.) — An ongoing incident has been reported on Three Notch Road between Hugh Drive and Jones Wharf Road involving a subject who found a backpack on the side of the road opened it and now is experiencing trouble breathing.
The report stated that the backpack contained syringes and other items St. Mary’s County has declared it a hazardous emergency and has closed northbound Three Notch Road while investigating.
