A note from Dr. Lisa Nelson, Au.D., founder and owner of Hearing Professionals, on celebrating 20 years of personalized and professional balance and hearing health care to maximize each individual’s quality of life on Friday, May 1, 2015.
I’ve had the honor to work alongside many distinguished colleagues since beginning Hearing Professionals. One office has multiplied into 4 full-time diagnostic and rehabilitative offices with 3 satellite offices serving Prince George’s, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties and beyond.
Each doctor of audiology brought her his or her talents thus shaping the history and future of Hearing Professionals and making the mission of Hearing Professionals attainable day by day. Our Mission to “provide the highest quality of personalized and professional diagnostics and rehabilitative balance and hearing health care services, to maximize each individual patient’s quality of life” continues to provide purpose and energize today’s team.
The tremendous efforts of the supporting staff as key members of the team has ensured each patient is treated like family! Marketing’s efforts to make our name known in the community through the thousands of events attended over these 20 years has made Hearing Professionals the most sought after audiology practice for local events.
Over the years, we have expanded the scope of practice to include more advanced balance testing, tinnitus solutions, research, newborn diagnostic evaluations, and there are plans to include ototoxic monitoring, auditory processing evaluations and implantable device programming. We have modified our corporate name to truly reflect the vast range of services we provide. In 2015, Doctors of Audiology, LLC doing business as Hearing Professionals will continue to treat patients with the best hearing and balance care available in Maryland.
And last, but certainly not least, our patients! The knowledge gained from my patients combined with the personal satisfaction of being a healthcare provider witnessing the tremendous improvement in patients’ lives has enriched my spirit. I am eternally grateful to be blessed with a career that offers continual personal and professional growth.
