Prince Frederick, MD –ย Calvert County Public Schools and the College of Southern Maryland are partnering to host training for the staff of both institutions regarding the growing problem of heroin and opiates use. Participants will learn about symptoms of use and available treatment resources, as well as hear the impact that heroin and opiate abuse is having in Calvert County, Southern Maryland and statewide.

Presenters will include the Calvert County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse (CAASA) and the Calvert County Health Department.

The training will be held on April 26, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the College of Southern Maryland, Prince Frederick Campus, Building B.
