Monday night was the last night of the annual Santa Run for the children of Huntingtown.
Members of the Volunteer Fire Department began the Santa Run on Friday evening and ran though Monday, it was once again a success. Santa and the Volunteers of Huntingtown reached well over 1,600 children this year.
Bags with fire prevention material, coloring books, crayons, candy, and fruit were handed out, as well as fire helmets.
“Many thanks to the dedicated members who staffed between 5-8 pieces of apparatus EVERY night for this event,” reports Huntingtown Chief Jonathan Riffe.
“Thanks to all the dedicated members that took time away from their schedule each night to ensure apparatus was covered. Extra special thanks to Santa and Mrs. Claus for allowing this to happen as we do every year.”
