
BRYANS ROAD, Md. — A 53-year-old man and a 7-year-old boy were injured Monday afternoon in an ATV crash in Bryans Road that left a vehicle overturned and prompted a response from emergency crews.
The incident was reported around 4:39 p.m. on April 27, 2026, in the 3100 block of Spicemill Alley.
Initial information indicates the pair had returned home following the crash before emergency services were contacted. Dispatchers were later notified of an ATV-related incident in which a vehicle had overturned at low speed.
Responding crews located both patients, with the man reported to have sustained head injuries. The child was also injured, though the extent of those injuries has not been released.
The occupants were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
Both patients were transported by ground to Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
