College Park, MD — Hillary Rodham Clinton drew over 2,500 supporters to Ritchie Coliseum at the University of Maryland, College Park on Thursday for an Early Vote event supporting the Brown-Ulman campaign. Clinton highlighted the importance of every Maryland voter casting their ballot in the race for governor, and praised Anthony Brownโs lifelong record of service to his nation, his state, and his community โ including his tour of duty in Iraq.
The event wrapped up a strong early voting period for Maryland Democrats. Through Wednesday, October 29th, 245,354 voters cast their ballots early in the General Election, with 62 percent of those ballots coming from Democrats and 29 percent Republicans.
โIโve been fortunate to work with both Hillary Rodham Clinton and Anthony Brown, and have experienced first-hand their dedication to putting job creation and the middle class first, as well as their shared commitment to public service,โ said Senator Barbara Mikulski. โBoth Hillary Clinton and Anthony Brown understand the importance of priorities such as universal Pre-K and targeted tax cuts for small businesses to create jobs in building a strong economy, and I know that Anthony will draw on those values as governor to build a better Maryland for more Marylanders.โ
“Throughout her life, Hillary Rodham Clinton has been a trailblazer and a fighter for working families in communities all across the country, and Iโm honored to have her support,โ said Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown. โWith her help, weโre going to make sure that every Maryland voter turns out and votes during the early voting period or on Election Day to have their say in Marylandโs future.โ
