PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate the shed fire in Prince Frederick.
On August 7, 2021 at approximately 6:40 a.m., firefighters responded to the structure fire at 70 Church Street.
Firefighters arrived to the scene to find the shed fully engulfed in flames. The crew had the fire under control in less than 10 minutes. The Maryland State Fire Marshal was notified to investigate the cause.
The Deputy State Fire Marshals investigation reveals the fire originated from the interior of the shed. The fire remains under investigation. The shed was a total loss. The estimated structure loss valued at $2,000.00. No injuries have been reported.
The incident involved an historical shed on the property of the Calvert County Historical Society. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Regional Office, at 443-550-6831.
