On July 17, Sharon Dots reported her 1997 Mercury Sable stolen from her parking lot, which was parked at the Charlotte Hall Easy Wash. The victim resides in the apartments above.
As the call was being broadcast to deputies, a citizen reported erratic driving on Route 235 southbound.
The vehicle the citizen described matched the description of the stolen automobile, and St. Mary’s County Sheriff deputies responded to the area of Three Notch Road and Clover Hill Road.
Corporal William E. Hill spotted the stolen vehicle and the stolen vehicle’s driver attempted to elude Cpl. Hill by turning onto a dirt driveway. Cpl. Hill pursued.
The vehicle stopped on the road and the driver, Kevin Price, 49, fled on foot. Cpl. Hill pursued the fleeing driver and apprehended him without incident. He was charged with felony theft.
