California, MD — Hospice of St. Mary’s benefits. But the entire community also benefited from the annual Hospice of St. Mary’s Festival of Trees Dec. 5 at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California.
The halls and rooms of the center were filled with 27 trees, and 23 wreaths and crowds packed those halls and rooms to view them. Throughout the day, there was also a variety of other activities, including make-your-own puppets and wreaths along with Santa’s Secret Shop for the kids and Hospice Marketplace for the adults. And Santa was on hand to find out what the kids wanted for Christmas.
The attendees were also entertained throughout the day by Billy Breslin, a flute choir, David Norris, David Flood, a barber shop quartet, a gospel choir and the Boot Scooters.
The Bay Net Photojournalist Ron Bailey also wandered the halls and the rooms to capture what was going on for the attached Photo Gallery.
