Leonardtown, Marylandย  โ€“ MedStar St. Maryโ€™s Hospitalโ€™s Marketing,ย Public Relations, and Philanthropy (MPRP) Department earned a total of five healthcareย marketing awards from the Aster Awards Program and the Healthcare Marketing Report (HMR).

The Aster Awards Program is an elite competition dedicated to recognizing excellence inย medical marketing and HMR is a publications group focused on marketing news and informationย from around the nation in the field of higher education and healthcare.

Although the MPRP department has been earning Aster Awards and HMR Awards for the pastย 10 years, itโ€™s the second year in a row receiving two Aster Gold Awards for, The Pulse, theย hospitalโ€™s monthly internal newsletter for associates, and promotional material for the hospitalโ€™sย annual Gala Fundraising Event (2015 Diamonds Are Forever). Held each November, the Galaย raises thousands of dollars for hospital scholarships, capital projects, new equipment and variousย other hospital improvements.

MedStar St. Maryโ€™s won two Silver Aster Awards, one for a pocket folder marketing pieceย designed to hold various flyers, publications and brochures and one for Healthy Living, aย quarterly magazine mailed to nearly 100,000 homes throughout Southern Maryland. In addition,ย promotional materials for the 2015 Diamonds Are Forever Foundation Gala also placed at theย Bronze level for Advertising Awards through HMR.
