WALDORF, Md. — Things are about to get even hotter at T Pot. Known for its bubbling hot pots and sizzling Korean barbecue, the Waldorf restaurant will soon let guests raise a glass along with their meal. On Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, the Charles County Liquor Board approved a Class B/BLX beer, wine and liquor license for the Market Place location.
The application was submitted by owner Myung Ok Kim and represented by attorney Robert Kim. The license authorizes the restaurant to serve beer, wine and liquor alongside its food menu.
T Pot, which opened in October 2024, features big tables designed for groups of friends, families and coworkers to gather. Each table is equipped with built-in burners and grills, creating a hands-on dining experience where guests cook their own meats, seafood and vegetables right at the table.

The restaurant offers both Korean barbecue — where diners grill marinated beef, pork, chicken and other meats at the table — and hot pot, a simmering pot of broth placed at the center of the table where guests cook thinly sliced meats, seafood and fresh vegetables to flavor their own soup. Both styles are meant for sharing, making it a social dining experience that encourages everyone at the table to take part.
Now, those gatherings will come with even more flavor as diners pair their meals with a full range of drinks. Hours of operation will remain the same.

The approval is contingent on the liquor board receiving completed FBI background checks and an affidavit of posting. Once those requirements are met, the license will take effect.
