At 10:35 a.m. on August 23, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the bike path in the 2000 block of Edinburgh Court in Waldorf for the report of a woman lying on the bike path.
Officers responded and found the woman suffering from multiple injuries.
She was identified as a 20-year-old Waldorf resident and investigation revealed she was struck by a vehicle while jogging on the path.
The victim was flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
