Leonardtown, MD – On July 9 a jury came to a verdict in the Circuit Court for St. Mary’s County in reference to the case Warring versus Polko.
Lisa E. Polko M.D. was accused by Bonnie Warring of Mechanicsville with multiple infractions after a surgery occurring in 2011.
Warring claimed that she “had lost time from her employment, suffered a loss of wages, and suffered a permanent impairment of her wage earning capacity.”
These claims stem from an operation that Dr.Polko performed on Warring Sept. 27, 2011. In this operation Dr.Polko performed a laparoscopic tubal ligation procedure.
Warring claimed that Polko was negligent when performing this operation.
During the week of July 6 the court, presided over by Judge David Densford, held a jury trail to determine what if any consequences Dr. Polko would face for the claims that Warring had made.
The jury came to a conclusion that the plaintiff “did not prove by a preponderance of the evidence that the defendant was negligent,” court records stated.
Calls to the attorneys who handled the case had not been returned as this story was being filed.
