At 7 p.m. Sept. 10, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 4000 block of Bluebird Drive in Waldorf for the report of a fight.
Investigation revealed the suspect, Porfirio Aguilar Martinez, 32, of Waldorf, was attempting to fight with a group of children.
Officers observed a bulge in his waist band and discovered a concealed knife. Martinez struggled with officers as they were attempting to arrest him.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and carrying a concealed weapon. Martinez was being held at the Charles County Detention Center on $3,000 bond.
