Porch Damaged by Firecrackers

Between 1 and 7 a.m. June 24, an unknown culprit used fireworks to damage the porch area of a residence on Saw Mill Road and the interior of a vehicle on Planter’s Wharf Rd., Lusby. TPR Bigham is handling the investigation.

Vehicle Window Shattered

At 12:05 a.m. June 17 Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 11400 block of Shearwater Drive in Waldorf for the report of destruction of property to a vehicle. Investigation revealed suspect shattered the rear window of the victim’s vehicle between 11 and 11:45 p.m.

Window Screen Pried

At 4:41 p.m. June 11 Officer J. Timko of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment in the 4100 block of Falcon Place in Waldorf for the report of an attempted breaking and entering. Investigation revealed suspect(s) attempted unsuccessfully to enter the residence by bending a window screen frame sometime between June 8 and June 11. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777.

Construction Site Trespassers Nabbed

At 10:39 p.m. June 17, Cpl. J. Vanhoy observed two vehicles drive into the Stanley Martin construction site off Dahlia Drive, California, passing by a “No Trespassing” sign.

The vehicles proceeded through the dirt and mud to an open field. After approximately 5 minutes the vehicles exited. The vehicles were stopped and the drivers identified.

A representative from Stanley Martin Inc. advised that they will pursue trespassing charges. This case remains open pending charges against the drivers.

Laptop Snatched from Builder Office

On Monday, June 19, at 4:26 am, TFC J. Fleetwood responded to an alarm at Tri-County Builders in Charlotte Hall.  Upon arrival, he observed a screen that had been removed. Investigation revealed entry had been made and a Dell laptop computer had been stolen. The investigation is continuing.

Crab Pots Vanish from Yard

On June 26 at 12 pm, TFC S. Van Bennekum responded to Abell Road, Abell, for a reported theft.  The victim advised that 3 crab pots had been stolen from his yard.  Investigation is continuing.
