Leonardtown High School is hosting a disaster relief concert this Saturday, April 30th, 2011 in the auditorium, from 5pm until 10pm. The concert is organized by Mr. Reber, Amanda Plummer, and the rest of the Disaster Relief Club is responsible for putting on the annual event.
The Disaster Relief Club has raised money for numerous causes including last year’s catastrophic earthquake in Haiti. The proceeds of this year’s concert will go to those affected by the earthquakes and tsunami that killed more than 10,000 people this past March.
The concert cost is $5 for students and $7 for adults. A 50/50 raffle will be held during the concert. Half of the raffle’s proceeds will be donated to the cause and the other half will be divided between two lucky winners.
The entertainment for the night will be provided by Michael Bell, The Saturday Night Frights, Boy vs. Bear, Rosy Likes Red, Law-less, LifeBlood, and Prisoners In Transport.
