At approximately 4:30 a.m., units responded to a house fire at North Essex Drive between Enterprise and Hancock in Lexington Park.
Bay District and Pax River fire units arrived on the scene to discover smoke pouring from the home, shortly thereafter, the blaze was upgraded to a working house fire. Lexington Park rescue also responded to the scene. Firefighters discovered the house had no electricity. Candles were used for light throughout the home.
The fire started in the hallway of the house. Firefighters were back at their station by 5:35 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
