The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch until 8 p.m. this evening and a Tornado Watch until 7 p.m. for Charles County. Severe thunderstorms are expected throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. Due to the inclement weather forecast, the Charles County Commissioners have approved liberal leave today for county employees. Personnel performing essential services are expected to report to work and/or continue their normal shift as scheduled.
