Just weeks after a murder at Waldorf Day’s Inn, a loaded gun is pulled at a hotel in Lexington Park.
On Monday October 10th, at approximately 11pm, James Earl Gossett, 49 years old of Lothian, allegedly displayed a handgun and made threats to two people while at the Days Inn Hotel in Lexington Park.
Gossett is reported to have pointed the loaded handgun at the two victims and was eventually disarmed by the two victims and a witness.
Gossett was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center by Deputy William J. Rishel where he was charged with First Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Second Degree Assault, and Possession of a Handgun.
