St. Mary’s County BCI detectives investigating a Theft Scheme that occurred between April 10 and April 24, 2009, conducted a search and seizure warrant at a residence in Mechanicsville on August 26.
During the service of the warrant Jonathan L. Butler, 21 years of age, was found in possession of cocaine. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. Patricia A. Butler, 51 years of age, was arrested and charged with a Theft Scheme Over $500, Theft Over $500, and Theft Under $500. Her arrest was the result of an investigation into the obtaining of fraudulent money orders valued at over $9000. She was also incarcerated in the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
