The Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center will host its third annual Top Dawg Academic Challenge, Tuesday, Feb. 10,ย at 6 p.m.,ย  in the schoolโ€™s Dohrman Room.ย  The Forrest Center is located at 24005 Point Lookout Road inย Leonardtown.

The purpose of this event is to provide a friendly intellectual competition between Chopticon, Great Mills, Leonardtown, and St. Maryโ€™s Ryken High Schools.ย  In a game show format, questions will be asked in various categories.ย  Great Mills High School is two-time defending Top Dawg champions.

The Top Dawg Academic Challenge is open to the public.ย  Parents, students and alumni from each school are encouraged to attend and cheer for their team just like on TV game shows. Admission is $4 per person, but is free for children age 4 and younger.ย  All proceeds will benefit the Forrest Centerโ€™s SkillsUSA student organization whose members travel to state and national competitions.
